Education Minister, Ruel Reid and his Opposition counterpart, Ronald Thwaites clashed at the Standing Finance Committee of Parliament this morning.
Officials from the Education Ministry along with Opposition members are currently going through the line items in the education budget.
Upon reaching the General Administration budget of the Ministry, Mr. Thwaites pointed out that there was $15-million reduction.
He says he is gravely concerned by the reduction, as it has led to no increase in the Department of Financial Management and Accounting Services.

Minister Reid then responded that he was committed to to making the necessary adjustments to the budgetary allocation to the department.
