Communication and Customer Services Manager at the National Works Agency, NWA, Stephen Shaw is advising motorists that the Hagley Park Road, Maxfield Avenue and Eastwood Park Road Intersection will be closed this weekend.

This he says is to facilitate pavement improvement works in the area.
The closure will take effect at 10pm on Saturday February 29 until Sunday March 1.

Motorists who traverse that intersection will be diverted along several roadways.

Motorists along the Hagley Park to Half Way Tree route will be diverted onto Woodglen Avenue to connect with Molynes Road.

Motorists who wish to travel from Maxfield Avenue to Halfway Tree will be diverted onto Cargill Avenue, Ruthven and Winchester Roads to get to the town centre via Hope Road.

Motorists travelling along Hope Road to transit through Half Way Tree en route to Portmore or Spanish Town Road will be directed left onto Half Way Tree Road, and transit along Balmoral and Queens Avenues.

Queens Avenue and Chisolm Avenue have now been reverted permanently to two way roads.

But, Motorists have now been restricted access to Constant Spring Road from Central Avenue.

And, Elspeth Avenue along Hagley Park Road has been converted to a one way street between Hagley Park Road and East Avenue.

Motorists are advised to observe all permanent and temporary traffic changes introduced by the NWA on the posted road, warning and directional signs.
