Minister of Health and Wellness, Dr. Christopher Tufton, says the government may have to consider implementing policies to bolster the country’s vaccination efforts.

Some countries, including France, have been implementing strategies, whether in policies or legislation, to get their populations to take the jab.

Last week, the French government announced that all health care workers in the country must be

fully vaccinated against Covid-19 by September or risk not being paid.

Dr. Tufton says the government could explore similar policies as a last resort in the interest of the country.

However, he was quick to note that the country is not yet at that juncture.

The Health Minister says the aim is to receive sufficient  vaccines and pursue moral suasion.
