Health Minister, Dr. Christopher Tufton, says Jamaica has received value for the billions spent so far in the country’s COVID-19 response.
Dr. Tufton says the near 4-billion dollars spent so far has resulted in a slowing of the spread of the disease.
The Health Minister says very few Jamaicans have fallen critically or moderately ill to the disease.
He also says Jamaica’s mortality rate is well below the international average.
Dr. Tufton also commended the hard work of Jamaica’s public health workers in tackling the the virus.
