Minister of Health and Wellness, Dr. Christopher Tufton, is lauding the implementation of the Covid-19 CommsCare Vaccination Software, aimed at registering Jamaicans who are vaccinated and analysing the data for future reference.

The software is a partnership between the Health Ministry, the United Nations Children’s Fund UNICEF, and the Private Sector Vaccination Initiative, PSVI.

Dr. Tufton was speaking on Monday morning at the software’s launch ceremony.

The Health Minister noted that the software has been fully rolled out in hospitals across the region and has helped in gathering data on last Saturday’s vaccination blitz.

So far, approximately 400 tablets have been donated to health regions across the island to support the use of the application in the field.

Dr. Tufton is encouraging hospital workers to use the platform as it will help them.
