Member of Parliament for Central Clarendon, Lester Michael Henry, has been appointed Minister of Labour and Social Security.
In making the announcement today, Prime Minister Andrew Holness said Mr Henry will take up the appointment tomorrow.
Mr Henry’s appointment comes almost 3 weeks after the death of then Minister, Shahine Robinson.
In April 2018, Mr. Henry was appointed Minister without Portfolio in the Office of the Prime Minister.
He was Minister of Transport and Mining from 2016 to March 2018.
He served as Minister of Transport and Works from 2007 to 2011
In 2002, Mr. Henry was awarded the Order of Distinction, in the rank of Commander (CD), for his twenty years of service to the Parliament of Jamaica.
