Opposition Spokesman on National Security, Peter Bunting, says the current administration is off to a rocky start in managing the security portfolio.
Statistics released yesterday from the Constabulary shows an overall 10 percent reduction in most categories of serious and violent crimes for the period January 1, 2016 to June 4, 2016.
Statistics and Information Management Unit of the JCF indicate that there was an overall 2-percent reduction in murders when compared to the same period last year.
Mr. Bunting says the numbers given must be taken into context.
Mr. Bunting says National Security Minister Robert Montague must focus on policy responses to the crime problem.
