Five days into his role as vice-president of the Caribbean Football Union, CFU, Michael Ricketts, says he has already started having discussions to improve the professionalism of the beautiful game in the region.
Ricketts, who’s also the president of the Jamaica Football Federation, was elected vice-president of CFU during a virtual Annual Congress of the regional body, on Saturday.
He says raising the standard football in the Caribbean will be at the top of his agenda item at his first CUF executive meeting.
He says the Caribbean needs to be more unified in order to have a stronger voice at the bargaining table.
