President of the Jamaica Teachers’ Association, JTA, Owen Speid’s hoping the government will move with alacrity to address concerns among teachers regarding the Primary Exit Profile, PEP exams.

In his address to teachers, Mr Speid says he’s hopeful planned activities to improve the sector will be at the forefront this year.

He also urged members to be mindful that their work is vital to the development of the country.

Meantime, the JTA President is appealing to the authorities to swiftly address the issues of road fatalities and criminality.
