President of the Jamaica Athletics Administrative Association (JAAA) , Dr. Warren Blake, says the Jamaica International Invitational will return to the local track and field calendar with the usual high standard, in May.

The organizers were forced to postpone last year’s edition due to financial constrains.

The event will return as a Continental World Series silver meet.

Dr. Blake says they are in discussion with some of the World’s elite athletes.

He says patrons will not want to miss the renewal of the meet.
