Jamaica’s eight member team has so far picked up two medals at the Junior Caribbean Cycling Championships.

The two day championships started in the Dominican Republic, today.

Chanelle Russell in the female’s junior category of the time trial finished second in a time of 16:55.27 behind Bermudas Anabelle Miller.

Her sister, Maleika in the juvenile category was also second in a time of 16:35.52 behind Bermudas Charlotte Millington.

The other members of the team are, Bradley McFarlane, Kristan McFarlane, Cajur Chue, Jaequan Dixon, Khalil Francis and Damaine Douglas.

The cyclists will be back in action tomorrow for the road races over 60, 70 and 90 kilometres.
