Economist Dr Andre Haughton, says while the Jamaican economy is improving, it’s not yet back at pre-COVID 19 levels.

Finance Minister Dr Nigel Clarke says Jamaica is on track to achieving the lowest level of debt in over 20 years.

He made the comment as he opened the budget debate in the House of Representatives yesterday.

But according to Dr Haughton, during the COVID 19 pandemic, the economy fell by ten percent.

He says it’s important we use the analysis to motivate Jamaicans to work harder to achieve economic successes.
