Managing Director of the Jamaica Urban Transit Company, JUTC, Paul Abrahams, is defending the company’s level of efficiency.
This, despite admitting that the State-owned bus company has taken a hit due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The JUTC has warned commuters to brace for longer wait times for buses that travel along routes that were affected by the recent heavy rainfall.
He says the JUTC has never had sufficient buses to meet its demand.
According to Mr Abrahams, the pandemic has worsened the challenges faced by the JUTC.
The JUTC boss says while there are challenges, the company is efficient.
