The St. Thomas police are this evening confirming that 14-year-old Kayalicia Simpson, was pregnant.

Kayalicia Simpson was preparing to travel from her home to the neighbouring parish of St Andrew for school when she was attacked and killed.
DSP Williams said the police currently have one person in custody. He says they are now investigating the circumstances of her pregnancy.
The teenager had gone to her outside bathroom about 4:30 in the morning when she was attacked.
Her body was discovered about 6 o’clock with wounds to the head on Wednesday.
