Kingston’s Mayor Delroy Williams says the Kingston and St Andrew Municipal Corporation is collaborating with a local university to explore soil type across the two parishes, to determine what areas are best suited for development.
He says the Bull Bay area in Eastern St Andrew is an area of concern.
That area suffered severe flooding and damage as a result of persistent heavy rains over the past few weeks.
He says the information gathered will affect how the Corporation issues permits for development.
