Late Member of Parliament and Cabinet Minister, Shahine Robinson is among those who received national honours today.
The late North East St. Ann MP, passed away in May after a period of illness.
She Posthumously received the Order of Distinction Commander Class.
Also among the awardees is President of the Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica, Keith Duncan.
He also received the Order of Distinction Commander Class.
A total of 126 persons, excluding the uniformed groups received this year’s National Honours and Awards.
Five other noted Jamaicans were conferred with the Order of Jamaica, the country’s fourth highest honour, for distinguished service in their fields.
Forty-six people were awarded with the Order of Distinction in the rank of Commander.
And Forty-one have been appointed the Order of Distinction in the rank of Officer.
