Former Senior Superintendent of Police in charge of the Traffic Division Radcliff Lewis says members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force, JCF are under extreme pressure.

Mr. Lewis told Nationwide News that the police have additional duties since COVID-19.

He added that police officers are still  needed in communities that are still under a State of Public Emergency.

Mr Lewis pointed out that the additional duties have contributed to a delay in the response from the JCF regarding bike thieves.

He says the JCF is not short staffed.

Mr. Lewis says the government has provided sufficient vehicles for the JCF.

He added that careless driving from members of the JCF has caused transportation problem.
