Business and Consumer Confidence continues to decline.
CEO of Market Research Services Limited, Don Anderson, presented the findings of the Jamaica Chamber of Commerce’s latest survey this morning.
According to Mr. Anderson, 65-per cent of consumers think the economy will get worse over the next twelve months.
Mr. Anderson says there’s been a similar fall-off in confidence for businesses, as their profits have taken a hit.
The research team also delved deeper, taking a look at which industries are seeking to invest now.
At the top of the list – agriculture.
According to Anderson, wholesale and retail also stands out, with 40-per cent thinking it’s a good time to invest in that industry.
