The Medical Association of Jamaica, MAJ, is welcoming the revised isolation protocols for healthcare workers published by the Ministry of Health and Wellness.

In a tweet, the MAJ said the revised protocols stipulates that asymptomatic healthcare workers will isolated for 10 days instead of 14 days.

It also added that 10 days isolation will apply for persons who are symptomatic, however, they must be three days asymptomatic.

It added that quarantine period for healthcare workers can be reduced from 10 days if on day seven they produce a negative Covid-19 test.
