A man has been arrested and charged for an arson attack on St. Raphael Road in Rockfort, Kingston on Monday.

The man is 34-year-old Bryan Davis otherwise called ‘Picky’, of the same address.

Reports from the Elletson Road police are that Davis and occupants of the premises had a dispute during which Davis threatened several times that he was going to set the place on fire.

On Monday, the residents were asleep when they were awakened by smoke and fire coming from houses inside the yard.

Davis was seen running from the premises.

The police and fire department were called in and on their arrival, the houses were already engulfed in flames.

The police say damage to the houses and their contents are estimated at over ten million Jamaican dollars.

Davis was later arrested and charged for arson.

His court date has not yet been finalised.
