Manchester United and Manchester City registered identical 3-0 wins in today’s round of matches in the Carabao Cup in England.

United beat Brighton for the second time in four days to advance to the quarter finals thanks to goals from Scott McTominay, Juan Mata and Paul Pogba.

Raheem Sterling scored twice for City as they beat Burnley at Turf Moor.

Ferran Torres scored in the 65th minute to complete the win.

In the other results, Everton beat West Ham 4-1 and  Newcastle stopped Newport County 5-4 on penalties after  a 1-1 draw in regular time.
