President of the Jamaica Manufacturers and Exporters Association, JMEA, Richard Pandohie, says he’s disappointed that he didn’t hear more about the productive sector during the run-up to last week’s general election.

Mr. Pandohie says that with tourism suffering as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, more focus needs to be placed on manufacturing.

The JMEA President says the country needs to use this opportunity to focus on import substitution.
