Motorists travelling along Maxfield Avenue, St. Andrew are being advised to expect delays and minor diversions to facilitate the completion of milling and paving work along the corridor.

The works, which should have begun at 8 this morning, will result in the closure of a section of the road between at Balmoral and Maxfield Avenue as well as the Hagley Park Road and Maxfield Avenue intersection.

Motorists wishing to enter Half-Way-Tree from the direction of lower Maxfield Avenue are therefore being advised to use alternative routes.

Manager of Communication and Customer Services at the National Works Agency, Stephen Shaw, says the road closure will facilitate the final leg of the rehabilitation work, which commenced last weekend.

The work is slated to be completed tomorrow, March 12.

Motorists are asked to exercise caution, obey the posted warning signs and the instructions of flag-persons.
