National bobsled athlete, Carrie Russell, is recovering well from a serious foot injury she suffered in early September.
Currently on the mend and back on the ice, Russell says training is going well and she is remaining positive.
The injury that Russell suffered required her to do surgery to repair damaged tendons and nerves and a broken toe.
Russell says she sees it as a minor setback, as she continues her preparation for the next Winter Olympics.

She represented Jamaica at the 2018 Winter Olympics in South Korea, where she won a gold medal in the Monobob World Series in Park City, Utah in January this year.
The next Winter Olympics is set to begin in February 2022.
