President of Netball Jamaica, Tricia Robinson foresees a successful hosting of the Netball World Cup Qualifier for the Americas region at the National Indoor Sports Centre, from October 15-22.

This will be the first time Jamaica will be hosting the tournament at a cost of 31-million dolars.

Robinson says the tournament will be good preparation for the future stars.

Minister of Sports, Olivia Grange, will be the patron for the event.

She has already pledged 12-million to help off-set the cost of hosting the tournament.

Robinson praised minister Grange for her continued support of Netball Jamaica.

The other countries participating in the tournament are, Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Cayman Islands, Grenada, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and The Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago and the USA.
