Almost 80 per cent of Jamaicans say they are more confident in Prime Minister Holness’ ability to manage Jamaica’s recovery from the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
That’s the finding of the latest Nationwide Bluedot polls.
The respondents were asked “who are you most confident in to manage Jamaica’s recovery from the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic?”
A massive 79-per cent of those polled said Prime Minister Holness.
Only 21-per cent of respondents chose Opposition Leader, Dr. Peter Phillips.
The Covid19 pandemic has delivered a huge blow to the local economy. It has created a 120-billion-dollar hole in the budget and left at least 100-thousand Jamaicans unemployed.
The management of the pandemic has emerged as the major issue in the country as the country goes into the general election campaign.
The Bluedot poll was conducted between July 20 and August 6 among 12-hundred Jamaicans across all 63 constituencies in the country.
They are all registered to vote in the upcoming general elections. The poll has a margin of error of 2.75-percent.
