“Shameful” and “Desperate”
That’s how the youth arm of the Jamaica Labour Party, JLP, Young Jamaica has described the comments of former Finance Minister Dr. Omar Davies, that the Holness administration is the most corrupt he’s ever seen.
Dr. Davies who was Finance Minister from 1993-to-2007, made the comments while speaking at a PNP divisional conference in his former South St. Andrew constituency at the weekend.
He said the Holness administration has normalised corruption in every facet of governance.
However, President of Young Jamaica, Rohan Walsh, says there’s enough evidence to suggest that the utterances of Dr. Davies have no basis in facts.

Communications Director for the youth arm, Rodain Richardson, admits there have been issues and instances of concerns within the JLP.
However he says the leadership has acted decisively in holding people to account.

Young Jamaica says Dr. Davies and his following represent a less than commendable past, and his type of politics is a big part of why Jamaica is not a first world country today.
They say the devastation of Finsac and billions lost through Dr. Davies’ mis-management, is a debt the children of this country will be paying for a long time to come.
Young Jamaica says Dr. Davies is the worst Finance Minister Jamaica has ever seen.
