Opposition Leader, Mark Golding, says the implementation of community vaccination sites should become a top priority for the Government as part of their national vaccination efforts.

He says citizens are most times reluctant to leave their communities to visit vaccination centers.

Mr. Golding, who is also the Member of Parliament for St. Andrew Southern, says efforts to reach out to Health and Wellness Minister, Dr. Christopher Tufton, on the issue have gone nowhere.

The Opposition Leader further says the availability of vaccines for those who wish to be inoculated should be a matter of urgency.

Meanwhile, the Member of Parliament for St. Andrew South Western, Dr. Angela Brown Burke, says community-related issues contribute to the challenges in the turnout of persons to get vaccinated.

She says for places such as her constituency, issues such as gang violence lend to the vaccination hesitancy seen in a lot of areas.

Dr. Brown Burke noted that vaccine education and closer inoculation sites will greatly contribute to a better turnout of individuals.
