Opposition Members of the Public Administration and Appropriations Committee, PAAC, are questioning a multi-million dollar COVID-19 allocation to the St. Ann Municipal Corporation.

PAAC Chairman Dr. Wykeham McNeill, says the one-off payment has not been duplicated anywhere else in the country.

Dr. McNeill called on the PAAC membership to support his call for the authorities to explain the expenditure at the next sitting of the PAAC.

However, government member Heroy Clarke, questioned the relevance of bringing up an item not on the committee’s agenda.

He also called on the Chairman to add the Hanover and Manchester Municipal Authorities to the discussion, organizations which have been slapped with allegations of fraud during the PNP’s majority control.
