The Office of Utilities Regulation, OUR, says it has written the National Water Commission, NWC, concerning its regulated water supply schedule in sections of Kingston and St. Andrew.

The NWC introduced the schedule in February as part of drought mitigation measures.

The OUR says since its implementation, they’ve noted several complaints by customers that the NWC is not adhering to the schedule.

It says it recognizes that there may be instances when the schedule will have to be varied.

As such, affected customers must be notified.

In its letter to the NWC, the OUR requested that the Commission submits a monthly report on its performance against its imposed schedule.

The report should include the NWC’s compliance with its published water supply schedule, any deviation from the published water supply schedule and reasons for the deviations.
