Olympic champion Hansle Parchment and Rushell Clayton were the Jamaican winners at the Wanda Diamond League meet in China, today.

Parchment ran a meet record and season’s best 12.96 seconds to win the men’s 110 metres hurdles.

World Championships bronze medallist, Daniel Roberts was second in 13.03 seconds, while three time World champion Grant Holloway ran 13.12 seconds for third.

Parchment’ time is the joint second fastest time in the world this year.

Meanwhile, Clayton led a Jamaican sweep of the medal positions in the women’s 400 metres hurdles.

The World Championships bronze medallist ran a meet record 53.56 seconds to win the event.

Her country women, Andrenette Knight with 53.87 seconds and Janieve Russell 54.01 seconds was second and third respectively.

Candice McLeod equalled her season’s best 50.19 seconds to finish second in the women’s 400 metres. The event went to Marileidy Paulino in a meeting record 49.36 seconds.

In the men’s race, national record holder Rusheen McDonald finished third in 44.82 seconds, with his countryman Zandrion Barns was eighth in 45.29 seconds.

Kirani James of Grenada won in a meet record and season’s best 44.38 seconds.

Kishane Thompson ran a personal best 9.85 seconds to finish second in the men’s 100 metres, behind Christian Coleman of the USA in a meet record and world lead equalling time of 9.83 seconds.

2011 World champion Yohan Blake finish sixth in 10.04 seconds.
