Prime Minister Andrew Holness says he’s awaiting a full report on any deaths which has occurred as a result of the recent shortage of oxygen in the nation’s hospitals.

The Ministry of Health has said the shortage was due to supply challenges experienced by the country’s sole supplier, IGL, and a force majeure.

The Opposition People’s National Party, PNP, has called for an independent probe into the matter.

The Opposition also wants a tally of any potential deaths.

Prime Minister Holness says the country will have to ensure it meets the crisis with the limited resources available.
