There’s a strong likelihood Prime Minister Andrew Holness will announce the general elections this afternoon in Parliament.

That’s according to General Secretary of the Jamaica Labour Party, JLP, Dr. Horace Chang who was speaking on Nationwide this morning with Kalilah Reynolds and Abka Fitz-Henley.

Meanwhile, he says the JLP will win a minimum of 40 seats in the upcoming generation elections.

Dr. Chang says the party will also be targeting vulnerable PNP seats.

The JLP General Secretary says he doesn’t expect the party to lose the West Rural St. Andrew seat which is among seven constituencies being targeted by the PNP.

The PNP’s Krystal Tomlinson is going up against MP Juliet Cuthbert- Flynn.

Dr. Chang also says they don’t expect to be defeated in East Central St.Catherine- another seat the PNP is eyeing.
