Opposition Leader, Mark Golding, says the government is out of control with its leadership and governance of significant issues facing the nation at this time.

Golding was addressing the National Executive Council, NEC, of his People’s National Party on Sunday at Moneague College in St. Ann.

He says the country cannot be properly governed when there is scandal after scandal.

Regarding Jamaica College and its former principal, Ruel Reid, Golding says that too was poorly handled.

He noted that the opposition would be more equipped to resolve such issues.

Golding defended the Jamaica Constabulary Force’s rank and file members who’ve been calling for a settlement of their overtime wage dispute with the government.

Meanwhile, Mr. Golding says it’s now time for the government and the opposition to unite on solutions to reduce the high levels of crime in the island.

Mr. Golding remained resolute in his party’s decision not to support an extension of the States of Public Emergency.
