Both the PNP and JLP are eyeing South St. James.
While denying rumors that the PNP has won the general elections, party General Secretary, Paul Burke says he’s confident the party will hold on to South St. James.
Preliminary results show the PNP’s Derrick Kellier, beating the JLP’s Homer Davis by 72-votes. Mr. Burke says the PNP is awaiting the result of the recount.
Mr. Burke says the PNP is also keenly interested in the recount of ballots in Western St. Thomas.
Preliminary results from the EOJ show that the JLP’s James Robertson beat the PNP’s Marsha Francis by 381 votes.
Mr. Burke says claims that the PNP will boycott the inauguration of Andrew Holness as Prime Minister, are unfounded.
