Opposition Leader, Mark Golding, is urging the government to ramp up its Covid-19 prevention efforts.
He says the government needs to do more to encourage Jamaicans to follow the protocols as the country grapples with the fourth-wave of infections.
Meanwhile, Mr Golding says with the economy shrinking by more than 10 per cent in 2020 and the projected recovery limited, many Jamaicans will remain in difficulty economic circumstances.
He therefore urged that now is the time for minimum wage to be increased.
