A number of key players committing crimes in the Kingston East Police division have been arrested since the imposition of the State of Public Emergency, SOE.
That’s according to Head of the JCF’s Corporate Communications Unit, CCU, Senior Superintendent of Police, Stephanie Lindsay.
The SOE was imposed on January 26.
SSP Lindsay was responding to reports this morning that indicated there’ve been a number of murders since Wednesday in areas under enhanced security measures.
SSP Linday says since the most recent SOE in the Kingston East Police division, there’ve been no shootings or murders.
Meanwhile, she says there’s been a reduction in murders this year across almost all the police divisions where SOEs have be imposed.
