The Government says preliminary estimates indicate that it cost over 2-hundred-and-70 million dollars to host United States President Barack Obama last month.
Information Minister Sandrea Falconer, gave the figures at this morning’s Jamaica House media briefing.
Senator Falconer says nearly 208-million dollars was spent on road rehabilitation.
She says an additional 66-million dollars was spent on the various events associated with President Obama’s visit.
That cost includes expenses associated with providing security, media coverage and accommodation.
President Obama visited Jamaica from April 8 to 9.
