A man has been charged with murder following the fatal stabbing of another man in Donmair Close, off Red Hills Road in St Andrew last week Thursday.
He is 24-year-old Antonio Smith, otherwise called ‘Rajay’.
Smith, a labourer, has been charged with the murder of 28-year-old Tristan Parkes.
Reports from the police are that the men had a disagreement over a wash pan.
The dispute was reportedly settled by residents present at the scene.
But according to the police, Smith left and later returned with a knife from his house.
Another altercation developed between the men, during which Smith used the knife to inflict wounds to Parkes’ chest.
Parkes was pronounced dead while undergoing treatment at hospital.
Smith later turned himself in to the police.
He was subsequently arrested and charged following a caution statement and a question-and-answer interview.
