Jamaican-born jockey Shaun Bridgmohan, who rides in North America, will partner “Fearless Soul” for trainer Philip Feanny in the George Hosang trophy over 5-and-a-half furlong at Caymanas Park on February 3.

George Hosang, in whose honour the race was named, will be on hand to make the trophy presentation to the winner.

Bridgmohan and HoSang are currently in the country for the Jamaica Thoroughbred Horsemen’s Foundation fundraiser on March 5.

Bridgemohan will be a guest speaker at the event at the Jamaica Officer’s Club, Up Park Camp.

They’ll be joined by several past and present jockeys, including Charles Hussey, Winston Griffits, Emilio Rodriquez, Trevor Simpson, and Omar Walker.

Bridgmohan has ridden over 3,000 winners in his career. The wins represent almost 16 percent of his overall mounts. On April 1, 2017, he secured his 3,000th winner.

Bridgmohan has ridden six winners in a day on three occasions: at Aqueduct, New York; at Fair Grounds, Louisianna; and at Ellis Park in Kentucky.
