The State Opening of Parliament for Fiscal Year 2021/22 is to begin at 11AM at Gordon House Today.

Governor-General Sir Patrick Allen, will deliver the Throne Speech.

He’s expected to outline the Government’s priorities for the new fiscal year, which begins on April 1.

The 2021/22 Estimates of Expenditure will be tabled in the afternoon.

That follows the ceremonial opening of Parliament.

This year’s proceedings will take place in strict adherence to the Health and Wellness Ministry’s COVID-19 guidelines.

Members of the public will be restricted from physically accessing the ceremony.

The Government is advising persons to follow the proceedings remotely.

The ceremony will broadcast live on JIS’ website and social media pages and on Nationwide Radio.
