Thirteen people have been charged for breaches of the Disaster Risk Management Act after being caught beyond the curfew time at a bar in St. Catherine.

The St. Catherine South Police charged the 13 reportedly caught at a bar after curfew hours along North Street, Old Harbour yesterday.

Reports from the Old Harbour Police are, about 12:15 yesterday morning, lawmen carried out a snap raid in the area when the men were caught gambling at a bar.

They were told to disperse but refused and were arrested and charged.

In the meantime, the police are encouraging citizens to conform to the regulations outlined in the Disaster Risk Management Act for their own safety.
