Father of 8-year-old Galen Buchanan, whose lifeless body was fished from the Kingston Harbour last week with its hands bound, says the man suspected of killing his son walked by him and briefly exchanged words before allegedly luring Galen to his death.
Donald Buchanan told our news centre he must now teach his other children to not trust people.
He says he never thought such a tragedy would visit his doorsteps.
Mr. Buchanan says his son was a happy child who would comfort him at times.
He remembers him as a source of strength.
Mr. Buchanan told our news team he believes he finally found the formula to raise Galen the right way.
He believes his son would have been perfect.
Mr. Buchanan says he and his son had a special relationship, one that was established on trust.

The frantic search for young the boy, ended in horror last Thursday.
Galen who’s otherwise called Nick, was last seen at his home on Spanish Town Road in Kingston 11 on Tuesday.
On Saturday, the Constabulary’s Corporate Communications confirmed that the person of interest in relation to Galen’s death had been caught.
He was caught during a police sting operation in Trelawny.
Reports are that he as attempting to flee to Haiti.
