USA Cricket has launched a plan to become a full member of the International Cricket Council, ICC by the year 2030.

The authorities have outlined how USA Cricket will develop to reach test playing status, such as increasing participation and engagement.

The USA gained associate member status in 2019 and played one day and T20 internationals against smaller nations.

The nation plans to launch the first fully professional T-20 league capable of attracting the best players in the world.

Cricket USA also says it will work with the ICC to help get cricket into the 2028 Olympic Games scheduled for Los Angeles.

If the Americans are successful they will become the 13th full ICC member.

The last to do so were Afghanistan and Ireland in 2017.
