The University of Technology, Jamaica, UTECH, says it expects to resolve all outstanding registration issues by the end of the week.
This follows complaints from several students about challenges with the online module selection process ahead of the new semester.
But UTECH President, Dr Kevin Brown, says some students are also failing to follow the required financial processes, which can delay their registration.

Several UTech students are taking to social media to voice their frustration over the university’s registration process for the new school semester.
One student is accusing the university of trying to force her into an extra year, as efforts to select a mandatory course for her final semester have proved futile.
She says by the time the registration portal opened, several courses were already full, and the respective lecturers are refusing to admit her.
The sentiment was shared by several others, who claimed summer students, in particular, are struggling to secure spots in several core courses.
Our news centre reached out to UTECH’s president, Dr Kevin Brown, on Tuesday.
He says efforts are underway to address the registration challenges.
But Dr Brown says the registration delays are not solely due to system challenges.
Some students, he says, are failing to complete the required registration and financial processes.
Dr. Brown is urging students to ensure they’re financially cleared before attempting to register.
Meanwhile, UTECH’s Student Union is urging those with registration challenges to complete the Students Union Module Selection Form.
The union says the information submitted will assist in identifying the relevant issues on their behalf.
