Stevian Simmonds reports

Over 700 hundred Senior citizens have already booked appointments to receive their first dose of the COVID 19 vaccine at the National Arena in St Andrew tomorrow.

The Health and Wellness Ministry’s Vaccination Blitz programme aims to vaccinate one thousand people 75 years old and older at tomorrow’s roll out.

Director of Family Health Services in the Ministry of Health, Dr. Melody Ennis, says proper logistic measures will be in place to ensure the process is seamless.

Dr Ennis says the centre will be properly labelled and manned by a logistics team.

She says it’s important that the process flows smoothly.

Dr Ennis says in excess of 700 seniors have already made appointment to participate in tomorrow’s exercise.

According to Dr. Ennis, based on observation, seniors are now more receptive to taking the jab.

And for the seniors who will be making their way to Independence Park tomorrow, Dr. Ennis their co-operation will be key to the success of the process.
