PNP Deputy General Secretary, Basil Waite, has taken leave from the party secretariat and come out in support of Mark Golding’s bid for the Presidency of the 82-year old political party.
Mr. Waite is the latest high profile figure in the PNP to come out in support of Golding ahead of the internal election next weekend.
Mr. Waite says before coming out in support of Mr. Golding he considered what the PNP requires at this time to move forward
He says Mark Golding’s understanding of how to position the PNP and Jamaica on key local and international issues, including trade, also factored in his decision.
