Education Minister, Fayval Williams, has described as stunning this morning’s call from the JTA President, La Sonja Harrison, for teachers to take industrial action.
It’s understood that checks by the Education Ministry found approximately ten reports of anomalies with teachers’ salaries for which clarification was needed.
Mrs. Williams told Nationwide This Morning that there’s a standing monthly meeting between the leadership of her Ministry and representatives of the teachers’ union.
She says matters raised in that forum are urgently addressed.
