The recently launched Education Transformation Commission, is the subject of more criticism.
Youth Leader and Advocate, Kavion Allen in an open letter to the Prime Minister lamented the fourteen member commission, describing it as inadequate and incomplete.
Mr. Allen says, the Commission does not reflect a complete cohort of the education system in our country. He says, the absence of a representative from the Northern Caribbean University, NCU is unfortunate, and should be bemoaned.
Mr. Allen in his letter articled the successes of the NCU and posited that the institution’s vision aligned with that of Vision 2030 and the direction of the Government.
He challenged Prime Minister Andrew Holness, to consider adding a representative accordingly.
Kavion Allen is President Elect of United Student Movement at the Northern Caribbean University.
