Assistant coach of Manning Cup hopefuls Charlie Smith High School, Byron Earle, says he’s pleased to witness former student-athletes Cornel Chin-Sue and Kevin Wilson donating footwear and equipment to the team ahead of their school boy football season.
Both players were part of Charlie Smith’s 1995 title winning team, which many pundits regard as one of the greatest schoolboy football teams of all time.
Earle says both former players encouraged the current team to work hard on and off the field.
Charlie Smith’s last schoolboy trophy was in 2002 when they defeated Kingston College 1-0 in the Walker Cup final.
Meanwhile, Earle says training sessions have intensified in recent weeks.
